This is how the reputation system works, there is a thanks button on each post someone makes, when you click the thanks button, on the persons post it adds +4 to their rep, and if you send message to someone, it gives you +2 in rep. To the right there is a small bar, that bar has a + sign on the top, and a - sign at the bottom, if you hit the negitive bottun, the person get -2 in rep and If you hit the plus button, they will have +2 of the rep they have.
